![]() Panama is in the tropics, which means it’s humid and has an extended wet or ‘green’ season, says IL Panama. I could conceivably revisit Thailand for some of the smaller, quieter island's as when I was there (6 months round SE Asia) 15 years ago, I only went to a handful of the main places. A popular beach town on Panama’s Pacific, Coronado is on the Arco Seco or Dry Arch stretch of coastline, so named because of the remarkably low rainfall it receives, which makes for good beach weather year-round. ![]() I've ticked off the vast majority of Central America and spent 3 months travelling round The Philippines. I've done India to death and Sri Lanka isn't somewhere I'd want to revisit. I'm hoping to get away for a couple of months to recover from a knee injury, so I won't be hiking or doing much in general but wouldn't mind the option of moving between a few different beaches. ![]() Where are the cheapest locations at the mo when taking into account the basics - accommodation, food and if its time to relax and hangout now and again, beer? Ideally somewhere that I can find local places to eat, not get shoved in with all the other tourist's (that's one of the things I find the most difficult with time spent in beach locations - it can be really hard to find decent, cheap local food.
